hi all,
when i try to FTP using FTP JCL i get the following output

IBM FTP CS V1R6
FTP: EXIT has been set.
Connect to ?
10.48.20.146
Connecting to: 10.48.20.146 port: 21.
Connection to server interrupted or timed out. Initial connection
Std Return Code = 10000, Error Code = 00008 |
Can anyone help me in telling when and why do such kind if messages appear

Mayuri,
Try pinging the server to check if it is responding or not.
You can go to DOS Prompt and type PING 10.48.20.146 and presee ENTER for this.
If there is no reply from server that is the reason why your job is getting failed because of the "Connection to server interrupted or timed out" problem. |

hey thankx..i tried doing that and the server was not responding..
