Hi All, The RECORDSIZE in the Base cluster, and in the Alternate Indexes are same or different? Can any one of you please explain the differences about it?

They are different. The RECORDSIZE for the base cluster should reflect the the actual data's length held in the file. The RECORDSIZE for alternate index is at leath the number of alternate keys for each primary key.

I meant "At least".
For more information, please read the fine manual, which explains the concept of alternate index.
