Hi All, The RECORDSIZE in the Base cluster, and in the Alternate Indexes are same or different? Can any one of you please explain the differences about it?

They are different. The RECORDSIZE for the base cluster should reflect the the actual data's length held in the file. The RECORDSIZE for alternate index is at leath the number of alternate keys for each primary key.

The RECORDSIZE for alternate index is at leath the number of alternate keys for each primary key.

Can you please elaborate this? its an urget pelase.

I meant "At least".

For more information, please read the fine manual, which explains the concept of alternate index.

Hi I already read this document, but I couldn't understand that concept.
Can you please elaborate this. If you give some more information with an examples, it would be helpful for me to understand easily. Thank you very much for your continuous co-operation.
