Hi Johngeorge,

Here is an explanation:

KEYRANGES((lowkey highkey) (lowkey highkey) ...) (Abbreviation=KRNG) -
supplies low ('lowkey') and high ('highkey') ranges of keys to
reside on different volumes of a multiple volume KSDS. The
volumes in the volume list match one-for-one with the key
ranges listed by this keyword.
