1)could u please anybody send the screen shots of
File-Aid.For opening the VSAM data set.
2)how can we see the records of VSAM data set.

Open fileaid
Character Format
1. Use option Browse
2. Type the name of the dataset
3. Type C in the command line
4. Give N for COBOL LAYOUT
Formatted
1. Use option Browse
2. Type the name of the dataset
3. Type option for FORMATTED
4. Give Y for COBOL LAYOUT
5. Give the name of the dataset that contains the layout and the member in the next field. Choose Single in the required field.
You can see the formatted record from where u can place the cursor in any of the record and type U in command line will give the vertical format of the selected record |
