I have 1 header record, 10 detail records, 1 trailer record. I should display the total count of 12 in the TRAILER record
COUNT in the OUTFIL gives me only the count of header+trailer record.
Can some1 help me pls?? Thanks!! |

Correct:
COUNT in OUTFIL gives only the count of header+detail records. |

If the header and trailer record are actually in the input data set, then they will be included in the COUNT value.
If the header is generated by a HEADER1 parameter, it will not be included in the COUNT value. If the trailer is generated by a TRAILER1 parameter, it will not be included in the COUNT value. If you want to include the generated header and trailer in the count value, you can use COUNT+2=(edit), e.g. COUNT+2=(TTTTT).
It would have helped us understand what you need if you had included your control statements in your post. |
