If u know how to generate a report in sort
For example
Sortin dd dsn=dataset name
I want the record count of the above dataset
Sortout dd dsn-dataset name
I want the record count of this dataset after sorting
I want both counts in the same dataset please try this one I giving a sort card which is counting the output dataset record
SORT FIELDS=(1,3,CH,A)
OUTFIL FNAMES=OUTPUT,NODETAIL
TRAILER1=('THE TOTAL RECORDS IN: ',COUNT,' DATE: ',&DATE)
SECTIONS=(51,30,TRAILER3=('THE TOTAL RECORDS OUT:',COUNT))
Please get me the answer as soon as possible |

Hard to do since it's not clear what exactly you want.
Please show an example of the records in your input file and what exactly you want for output. Please explain what you're doing, if anything, that would make the output count different than the input count (e.g. INCLUDE?). |
