hi,

Friends Iam new member of ibmmainframes.com, can any one explin me how to compare the two existing elements in endevor and how to recognize the calling and called programs without passing any variables.

Hi,

You could use the compare utility of endeavor to compare two elements.
Another alternative, (in case you are not able to use the compare option in endeavor) would be to retrieve the elements to your datasets, and then run a SuperC compare or some other comparison on these elements.

suppose if u want two versions of the same program to be compared , then find the element in the endeover providing the system , subsystems etc options .....

and once you get the element found then beside to it give 'S" for seeing the versions of the program.

And to check the changes that has been made to each version , beside each version give "c" .

"B' will give the entire code.

If u want to compare different programs , write a SCL to retrieve the program to your local PDS and compare it.

In endevor there is facility to compare elements present in 2 different environments example Test and UAT.
for this go to endevor U ( User menus) , selection option 3 ( customs reports ) the select option 4 ( level super C)
Remember your endevor should have this feature.

Thanks for giving reply with relevent answers, iam asking another questions,Please reply me. In SPOOL THERE ARE SEVERAL JOBS RUNNING WITH DIFFERENT JOBNAMES, I WANT TO DISPLAY ONLY MY JOBS ON THE SPOOL, FOR THIS WHAT OPERATION WE HAVE TO FOLLOW, HOW TO DO IMPACT ANALYSIS, WHAT IS THE EXPANSION OF CCID IN ENDEVOR.
