Can you let me know what is the option/command to know the version of the Mainframe OS used from the TSO/ISPF screen or from anywhere

Enter TSO ISPVCALL STATUS on the command line in TSO.

Or, look at the ISPF system variable ZOS390RL, which will have a value like:

z/OS 01.04.00
