Difference between Sequential and ESDS files.

Hi all,

Can anyone pls specify the differences between sequential and ESDS files and also as to how they are handled.

One difference lie in deletion of records, as you cant delete records from a VSAM ESDS file.

ESDS= Entry Sequenced Data Set i.e. without index. and it can only be accessed sequentially.
