How to implement a change request in CICS

I was asked in the Interview like when we get a change request in CICS tell me the procedure how you handle the CR I need answer in CICS point of View probably I need explanation with the version control tool like changeman Eg : Suppose we need to add one more field in the BMS map how would you go about changing that ?.

1. Check out the component from production
2. Analyse and include the changes
3. Adjust positions in the map if required. Also do the necessary
4. Test the map by execting in test region
5. Audit - Freeze - Promote
6. Finally Installation.
