Generally if your changes are promoted to CICS loadlib from where MAPSET is being picked up using ChangeMan, then NEWC is not required as Changeman takes care of it and automatically at next execution of transaction latest loaded copy is picked up. |

The newc of the map is done.when u made changes in the map and u want to see those changes in the map,by running the CECI transaction. |

Endevor, as well as ChangeMan, can do the NEW as part of the compilation process.
Also, if the program has not been executed since CICS startup, the initial load will find the new version. |

The above can not be entirely true. I've worked in shops where changeman is used and it still doesn't do a new copy.. There are many features that can be customized and new copy could be one of them. I've also used another configuration management software called Alchemist which does new copy of the CICS programs/maps. |

The changes were picked up without having to do a newcopy because it would have been the first time that particular load module was being executed by CICS after it was brought up/restarted. |
