Hi all,
We have the following requirements:
------To log data into an Oracle database from a COBOL program running on a Mainframe system. The Oracle database resides on a Windows system outside. Is this possible in COBOL.Initially we had an idea of using SQL * PRECOMPILER for COBOL but later we came to know that the compiler can be used only on Fujitsu/Merand cobol for windows.
-------We need to develop either a Windows(C#)/Java program that would be executed from a Windows system and it must update a flag in a DB2 database that resides on a Mainframe. We are totally blank about how to proceed further in this regard.
Please help me with any pointers/hints in this regard.
Thanks in Advance,
Siddhi. |

Hi,
I was able to crack Issue#2. SourceForge.net provides a tool called "Spool390". Its a VB program which can be used to execute FTPs and JCLs from a VB application.
Cheers,
