What are the compile stages in db2

hello friends

1.in an interview they asked me what is the compile stages in db2 ?i said precompile ,bind,compile and link.they asked what is an input in precompile and output in precompile ,what is an input in bind and output in bind ,
what is an input in compile and output in compile ,what is an input in link and output in link? plz answer this question.
