the operator was in a "particular" remote location and did initialte a pf key to switch to another screen. HOWEVER, in other locations the same action does not result with any error. Further, this apparently is happening with a request for data using one particular key. Cannot replicate the problem at the home office |

PROG 753 One or more of the following conditions occurred:- A READ MODIFIED, READ MODIFIED ALL, or READ BUFFER command that also contained data was received.
- A REPEAT TO ADDRESS or GRAPHIC ESCAPE order that specified an invalid character set was received.
- A START FIELD EXTENDED, MODIFY FIELD, or SET ATTRIBUTE order that specified an invalid attribute value or character set was received.
This is from the Help file for IBM Personal Communications.
What does it mean?
The program and the screen are not out of sync, otherwise it would happen all the time. It is problably an invalid value that was sent to the screen.
As it happens with a specific record, check if some of the fields contain non-printable characters. |
