Hi,
How can we say whether an existing KSDS cluster's file format is a variable length or a fixed length? |

S wont show the record format for a VSAM file.
In LISTCAT what is the field which I have to look to decide whether its a variable or a fixed length dataset? |

Use LC and look for the AVGLRECL and MAXLRECL, if both are same then it is fixed else it is variable. Hope this solves your problem |
