About the only way I know of to prevent others from access to a dataset, whether it be a file or PDS would be through RACF security. Talk to your RACF person about getting it set up.

If you are using RACF for security and you have access to ISPF then I can help you with this.

Hi,buddy
The security will help create a ds profile for your ds.In this way,the access to your ds can be controled by RACF.Anyone who wants to access your ds must have the proper authority. And you can use the permit command like this:
PERMIT 'ds profile-name' id(user_id) ACCESS(access-authority) GEN

Regards,
Shaun
