HI All,

I am having the below doubts in IMS_DB can anybody please clarify me.

1) We can execute IMSDB program in Batch as well as Online (DLI , BMP modes). Is BMP mode allows to execute the pgm in batch also?

2) Can i declare the proc option in a sensitive segment eclaration in PSB? i know we can declare it in the PCB.

3) How many ways we can set the parrentage in IMSDB?

Answer to q#1 is 'YES'. BMP can execute batch.

hi Madhu,

2. yes we can declare PROC options to the sensitive segments as well.

3. Parentage can be set in TWO ways. It could be through a GU call and GN call.

suggestions/corrections welcomed...

hi madhu
we can set parentage in two ways ...
1) when u issue a GU or GN call ..automatically parentage will be set against the segmaent.

2) when u use parentagae command code "P" in SSA.
