I found one of JCL a overriding parameter which consists of UNIT=CTPE. I know about DISK or TAPE, but never saw CTPE.Can anyone knows about what is CTPE?

My guess is that this group name is specific to your system installation. icon_smile.gif

But if anyone thinks otherwise... please do write up..

This must be one of tape device types specific to your shop, I can't seem to find a generic unit in this name. If datasets are created in your sytem in this specific type (say, 3490), it may be done to comply with what destination accepts. Please consult your tape management group for the device type and the purpose of it.
