How to increase the pds space?

Hi, icon_lol.gif

Any one know how to increase the pds space which is already in use and has some ps.. I am facing the space problem.. can we add more blocks in the existing pds icon_question.gif

Hi sandeep,
I think you can't increase the space when the PDS is in use. You can increase the space in the job where the PDS is being created before submission of the job.

hi ,

surely u can't increase the space .
but try one command
i mean try to compress that dataset .
write z on the left of dataset

that means there is no solution except to create another pds with more blocks and copy all the members into it....how boring....

Yes,

You are having only option of Compressing (Z) it.
No way to Increase the size of PDS.

from the ispf panel provided you have authority to compress the
dataset. Other is to compress using jcl.

There are third-party products available that can perform this function (PDSMAN, DP-Technician, StarTool, STOP-X37).

There is a freeware package available from the CBT Tape called freePDS:
