Regressing the functionality for the new code changes?

Hi
can anyone explain what is Regressing the functionality for the new code changes in a project .What are the steps to follow to achieve this and what are the uses of doing this regression test

Hi ...

what u changed in ur application for new, it should not impacted for the previoues function.......

for exp:

ur application doing add & Subtract, u implemented Multipication to ur application, due to ur new changes it should not impact on Add & Subtract..

If I am worng Please Correct me....

Hi Rajjesht


Litreally regression means taking back to older state to the current. as vijayakumar.yellala has mentioned, the existing functionality should not be impacted because of the new business logic or program logic inclusions.
