need information about override libraries

can any give me some information about the following:

WHY WE NEED TO USE OVERRIDE LIBRARIES INSTEAD OF PRODUCTION LIBRARIES WHEN WEE NEED TO DO SOME CORRECTIONS IN THEM..... any specific reasons......

i hope my question was pretty clear... anticipating reply.

Hi Srinivasprs,

We basically do this for testing before moving the changes to production libraries.

Hope this answered your question.
