Hi,
This is pertaining to IMS DC.
If there are a large number of segments to be read through DLI calls and if after reading each message I am going to process it (includes a subprogram call and several DB2 calls) and then go for the next segment read(segment read - not the next message):
1. Is there any possiblity of a timeout here?
2. If after getting the first segment of a message, for some reason I do not read the next segments(of the same message) and try to send back the response to IMS(an insert), will the partial data in the IMS queue(the remaining segments) create any problem?
Thanks. |

Hi Monga,
GU call retrives the first segment in a message
GN call retrieves the second and subsequent segments.
so check ur program
wat u had coded in ur program , send a copy of that code to help u further
