Hi,

In some of the previous post it's mentioned that for processing Vb records we need to declare as many as FD sections for as many variable length records with a variable which will identify the record type. But when u give a read statement, into which FD section the record will be moved??

Thanks
Padma.

padma_prakasam,

Think of the multiple '01' level record layouts on the 'FD' as being redefines of each other. They all occupy the same storage, just defined differently.

Dave,
