Hi,

Catalogued provedures are members of PDS and remain there until they are deleted. No need of PEND in Catalog.

Instream procedures are not members of PDS and it exists only for the duration of job. PEND must be coded.

It can be used if a common data set is to be accessed by several users.

Bye

Catalog procedure is a set of job control statements that are grouped together , given a name and then recorded as a member of a PDS. whereas instream proc included in the input stream of the job itself.
